I enjoyed talking with Japanese students the most.

Marilou from Summer Short 2015

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

I enjoyed the field trip opportunities the most. I wasn't able to travel much around Japan, but being able to go to Yamanashi and look at the different sides of Tokyo was very enjoyable and I learned a lot.

Which co-curriculum classes did you find most satisfying?

I enjoyed talking with Japanese students the most.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

The most interesting and productive aspects was the intensive class course. I felt that I was able to learn a lot and get to know my classmates as well. The least interesting and productive was having to go to the speech contest. While I did enjoy the day, living so far away from the hall took a lot away from the experience.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

I enjoyed in class conversation and practice the most. Also, the daily kanji lessons were also very helpful.

Any further thoughts or tips for those considering the program or new KCP students?
